  • EntreComp into Action: get inspired, make it happen

We are excited to say that the EntreComp into Action: get inspired, make it happen user guide has now been published by the European Commission Joint Research Centre! Thanks to all those - many from this group - who helped to make it come to life through ideas, guidance and contributions :)

    Background:
The guide presents a simple overview of the why, when and how of using the EntreComp framework. It is designed to inspire anyone planning work on entrepreneurial learning, through tips and examples of how others have used the framework and adapted it to fit their purpose. It includes over 70 practical examples, showing the potential of EntreComp across a very rich and varied range of sectors from formal education and training, non-formal and inclusion learning, employment and enterprise/start-up. We hope to build on and collate further examples over the next years.

The EntreComp framework itself was launched as part of the New Skills Agenda for Europe in June 2016, as a means of breaking down what we mean by the entrepreneurship key competence into its different learning elements. This competence is increasingly recognised as a competence for life, relevant to personal development and fulfilment, finding and progressing in employment, as well as initiating new ventures ranging from community campaigns, social enterprises to new start-up businesses. The framework itself identifies the importance of entrepreneurship and initiative to learning, showing how people and organisations can develop this competence to tackle economic, social and cultural challenges.
